About Me

Life can sometimes leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. Counseling offers a space to slow down, gain clarity, and better understand the patterns affecting your well-being, relationships, and daily life.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and former educator with 14 years of experience, I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, and other life challenges. My background in education provides a unique perspective when supporting children, teens, parents, and families through developmental, academic, emotional, and relational concerns.

Together, we'll explore the connections between your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and the signals your body may be communicating. By increasing awareness and understanding, we can identify unhelpful patterns, build on your strengths, and develop practical strategies for meaningful change.

My approach is collaborative, strength-based, and solution-focused, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based practices. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you build on your strengths, move toward your goals with greater confidence and intention, and create the life and relationships you desire.

My Approach

Starting Where You Are

Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin understanding your story. We'll talk about what brought you to counseling, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together.

My goal is to understand you, or your child, as a whole person. Together, we'll explore the experiences and patterns shaping your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships while identifying meaningful goals for counseling.

For children and adolescents, I focus on building trust first. Rather than expecting them to open up right away, I meet them where they are and create a safe, supportive environment where they can share at their own pace.

By the end of your first session, we'll have a clearer understanding of where you are, where you'd like to be, and how we can begin moving toward your goals together.
